steve's 28th birthday cake

for steve's birthday i made him one of his favorites...i call it 'guilt free chocolate covered strawberry cake'! he chose the low-cal option so that he wouldn't feel as guilty eating more of it :)

it is super easy to make too...

ingredients:

1 angel food cake mix (or store bought)

1 package of sugar free instant chocolate pudding mix

1 fat free cool whip

1 package of fresh strawberries

--prepare an angel food mix as directed (or store bought). once cooled, chop it up into 1" bite size pieces

--prepare the chocolate pudding as directed

--slice strawberries

--using a 13x9 cake pan, arrange angel food cake pieces on the bottom

--next pour chocolate pudding layer

--spread cool whip over pudding (trying to cover all pudding)

--top with strawberries however you want!

a cupcake event

i had a few friends over for a girls craft night and we decorated cupcakes out of the book hello, cupcake! if you've never seen this book, it is pretty neat. it shows you how you can make animals, art and even food (like corn on the cob for example) out of cupcakes! we decided to make "what a hoot!". the owls looked so hard to make, but they were actually very easy...

the finished product...they were super cute!

we also decided to make "black and white party", except we used lots of different colors instead of just black and white.

i was very excited to use my cupcake stand to display our pieces of art!

each cupcake was unique in it's own way :)

valentine's day cupcakes

i made these cupcakes for a work event. they were chocolate with butter cream frosting...yum!

shelley's giant birthday cupcake

for our friend shelley's birthday, my friend lisa and i wanted to make a special cake. it turned out that recently, we both got the wilton giant cupcake pan, so we thought that would be a great idea for her birthday...lisa made the red velvet top half and some delicious cream cheese frosting. i made a vanilla bottom half and chocolate icing. the cake was pretty easy to assemble. the chocolate icing on the bottom was a bit tricky though. we topped it off with a cherry and a candle...lisa, shelley (the birthday girl) and myself...

i love making cookies at christmas! i especially love making (and eating) sugar cookies. here are some of my favorites from this past christmas...

i've also really like ginger bread cookies. they are just as fun to decorate too!...

becky and steve's wedding cake

recently i've been going to a lot of weddings! about 8 of my friends just got married or are about to get married! what i love more than making cakes is eating them, so i thought i would include pictures all of the cakes from all of the beautiful weddings! of course i am not the creator of these cakes, but i still love looking at them and eating them!!
